Duration: 3 nights
Drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire for the night and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you’ve ever wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, you will be pleasantly surprised to see the contrast between the underwater ecosystem from day to night.
Scuba diving at night teaches you to focus, on controlling your buoyancy by feel, on staying with your buddy and on paying attention to details you may overlook during the day. During three night dives, you’ll practice: Light handling and communication techniques at night, entering, exiting and navigating in the dark, identifying how plants and animals differ or change behavior at night and more.
Pick up your Night Diver course materials before the course start and complete deep diving knowledge reviews. Pick up from Cape Town Hotels to the V&A Waterfront or meet at the dive shop at 8.30am to complete paperwork and review the knowledge reviews together with your instructor. Watch the deep diver video. Your PADI Instructor will conduct a detailed briefing of special dive considerations and a lecture of deep diving procedures before each dive. Receive exercises and tests to complete on each of your night dives with you PADI instructor. Back at the shop each day around 15h30.
