Description
The Emergency First Response Care for Children course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how they differ from adult conditions.
Care for Children – This course allows participants to learn, practice and apply emergency care skills specific to helping infants and children with medical emergencies. It’s designed for those who work with children or are likely to have to respond to emergencies involving youngsters. This course is often integrated with Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses.
The EFR & CFC courses are based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care.
Course Details
Before start date - you will receive an EFR CFC (Emergency First Response Care for Children) manual to complete theory at home in your own time. Knowledge reviews (chapters) is completed beforehand. This manual is yours to keep and to refer back to refresh your first aid knowledge at any time. Day 1 - Complete required paperwork, watch the EFR video and review the theory with the instructor. There is a multiple choice exam at the end of the course as well as a practical session followed by scenarios.

Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an EFR CFC Certification. Valid for for 2 years. Able to assist children with First & CPR.
